Dr Samuel Jackson

Professional Bio
Dr. Samuel Jackson is a senior research scientist at CSIRO Energy in Melbourne. He has a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham, UK, and was a postdoc at Imperial College London. He has 10 years of research experience in multiphase flow modelling and experiments, related to carbon and hydrogen underground storage. Samuel was recently a lead researcher for the CO2CRC’s Otway Stage 3 CCS project, developing novel pressure tomographic monitoring methods, and safely storing 15 kt of CO2.
Samuel was also part of the CSIRO team in the FluidFlower International Benchmark for CO2 storage, where CSIRO demonstrated world-leading simulation capabilities for CO2 storage. He has participated in several large EU projects on CO2 storage (MUSTANG, PANACEA, ACT-Elegancy, MESMERISE-CCS) and has direct experience translating basic science to industry.
