Professional Bio
Dr. Yong-Chan Park is a principal researcher at the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM) in Daejeon, South Korea. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mineral and Mining Engineering from Hanyang University in 2000.
Throughout his career at KIGAM, Dr. Park has been actively involved in multiple CO2 storage-related projects, serving as a reservoir engineer conducting reservoir simulations. His recent focus is enhancing CO2 injectivity into geological formations like saline aquifers and depleted gas fields.
In partnership with CO2CRC, Dr. Park is the project investigator for an initiative supported by Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy.
