Professional Bio
Dr. Hailun Ni is a Research Associate working at the Gulf Coast Carbon Center (GCCC) at the Bureau of Economic Geology, The University of Texas at Austin. She received her PhD degree in Energy Resources Engineering at Stanford University in 2020 on the topic of CO2 capillary heterogeneity trapping.
Currently, she manages the sand tank lab and conducts beadpack experiments to study the effects of geologic heterogeneity on CO2 plume migration and trapping.
