Professional Bio
Dr Iosif’s career spans 30 years in Australia, USA, Europe and the Middle East.
He worked in research, academia, engineering consulting and management consulting firms. His background and core industry skills encompass energy economics, global energy markets, global gas and LNG and energy transitions. On the functional side he worked in corporate development and portfolio strategy, operational excellence, organization effectiveness, transformation, and M&A.
Prior to LAVAUX Advisory, he held senior executive roles with KBR, WorleyParsons, PwC and Advisian. He spent over 25 years in the energy and energy transitions sectors where he advised at C-suite and Board levels. Dorel has been an advisor to global and local IOCs, NOCs and government departments. In the Middle East in particular, among others, he advised and consulted with ADNOC Group, Saudi Aramco, Qatar Energy and The Department of Energy.
Dorel is an expert in global Gas and LNG markets, project economics as well as CCS and CCUS. He was invited by the Ministry of Energy UAE to chair the Panel of Gas and LNG Experts at the inaugural World Future Energy Summit and headed up the Austrade delegation at the talks with MASDAR UAE. During his career he presented at numerous conferences and world energy summits.
Dorel holds a Ph.D in applied mathematics from the University of Melbourne and studied Corporate Strategy at Harvard Business School. He is a Member of the Harvard Business Review Advisory Council and teaches part time Growth Management, Comparative Strategy, Firm Internationalisation and Innovation at The School of Business, Law and Entrepreneurship – Swinburne University.
